PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diversity relaying apparatus capable of carrying out diversity synthesis using three or more antennas at a low cost. SOLUTION: A plurality of 2-branch special purpose relaying units 104, 105 are cascade-connected. Thus, diversity synthesis using 3 branches or more can be carried out without the need for using branch special purpose diversity relay units of 3 branches or over. That is, relay processing for diversity synthesis of 3 branches or over can be carried out by using only the 2-branch special purpose relaying units 104, 105 at a comparatively low cost.
