PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information which is thought probably needed by a user at the timing high in probability that the user wants to acquire the information about the neighboring facilities. SOLUTION: The navigation system determines whether the own car exit from the main road such as the high-way or not by referring the present position and running direction with the road map read out of the map disk 106a, and estimates the possible running road, and interest target spot if determined to exit from the main road.
