PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone set in which a control channel (CH) is automatically switched in spite of an influence of external noise. SOLUTION: A master unit sets a control CH change counter when detecting noise in the control CH for use in command transmission to and reception from a slave unit (S401). When detecting a connection request command from the slave unit within a predetermined period (S403), the master unit sends a connection completion command and a control channel change command to the slave unit (S404). The slave unit, on reception of the control channel change command, not only changes its control channel to another control channel (S405) but also transmits a connection transition command and a control channel change completion command, which show the completion of a transition to a speech state, to the master unit (S406).
