PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link plate for a roller chain capable of minimizing weight increase and capable of enhancing strength by expanding an outer form so that the direction of 45°from a center of a pin hole is maximum. SOLUTION: A pin hole 12 is formed on both ends of a plate material 11, the outer form from the center of the respective pin holes 12 to a tip side Q is uniformly and smoothly expanded so that the direction of 45°from a center line C is maxim with respect to a reference shape R concentric to the pin hole 12.
