PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate transport work by establishing a center of gravity of an engine generator at a center part and to prevent fuel from dripping on a control panel even if fuel run over a filler opening at a time of fuel filling. SOLUTION: This engine generator includes a roughly rectangular parallelepiped shape sound insulation case 1 and is provided with a carrying handle 7 at an upper part. The operation panel is provided on one end of the sound insulation case 1 and a muffler 40 is built in another end part side. A generating body 33 is arranged to one end part side in the sound insulation case 1 and an engine 23 is arranged to another end part side, and a fuel tank 42 is arranged to cover those. The fuel tank 42 includes a main tank part 42a arranged with projecting to one end part side from the generating body 33 and an inlet part 42b extending from the main tank part 42a toward an upper part of the muffler 40.
