PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the power consumption of a portable television receiver is large. SOLUTION: An image disturbance determinator 44 determines the existence/nonexistence of image disturbance at the present position to a desired received channel acquired from a receiving part 39 and a GPS (global positioning system)receiver 49, and a power supply control circuit 47 changes an image rejection mixer to a double balance mixer circuit to perform operation when the image disturbance determinator 44 determines that no disturbance occurs. Consequently, the double balance mixer circuit can operate in the case of receiving a channel with no occurrences of image disturbance so that a mixer with small power consumption can be realized.
