PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector for cards which responds to plural kinds of card-type devices different in the numbers of contacts. SOLUTION: The electric connector can receive a first card having conductive pads on prescribed positions, and a second card 250 having a plurality of conductive pads 252a, 252b on at least one of regions corresponding to the conductive pads of the first card. In a region corresponding to one conductive pad of the first card, a plurality of contacts 36, 38, 46, 48, 56 and 58 are disposed which contact with the plurality of conductive pads 252a, 252b of the second card 250.
