PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a short circuit between layers with a scanning line and a data line, and a short circuit between the scanning lines in an electron emission display device. SOLUTION: The recess of a spacer 30 is arranged in the intersecting part of a lower electrode 11 becoming the data line and a bus electrode 20 used as the scanning line, an upper electrode 17, and a thick film electrode 22. The projection of the spacer 30 is arranged in the part which does not intersect. The flow-out of a silver paste when the thick film electrode 22 is formed is absorbed by the recess of this spacer 30.
