PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To normally display an image by region scanning in an electro-optical device. SOLUTION: A driving circuit includes: a scanning line driving circuit which supplies scanning signals alternately to a plurality of partial regions obtained by dividing an image display region and sequentially to a plurality of scanning lines in the respective partial regions; and an image signal supply circuit which generates image signals based on display data and supplies the image signals to a plurality of data lines in such a manner that each field period is separated and has a vertical retrace period and that each of the plurality of partial regions is subjected to horizontal scanning in a 1/n horizontal scanning period obtained by dividing one horizontal scanning period by the total number n of the plurality of partial regions. The scanning line driving circuit supplies the scanning signals in such a manner that the supply sequence of the scanning signals to one scanning line, which is disposed at an edge of one side along the scanning lines in the image display region, among the plurality of scanning lines becomes the last for each field period.
