PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that acceleration only at starting up a motor causes the step out of the motor and the positional deviation of a lens in repeating low speed driving and high speed driving when a speed range from low speed to high speed is large. SOLUTION: In order to attain predetermined speed, speed increase is inhibited unless predetermined acceleration time elapses in driving at predetermined acceleration speed. When the speed gets lowered, a counter is reset in accordance with the speed, whereby the step out of the motor is prevented by performing the predetermined acceleration even when setting the speed from the high speed to the low speed, and further the high speed.
