FILTER ELEMENT, FILTER UNIT, AND PROJECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter element and a filter unit capable of switching colors at high speed and securing silence, and a projector using such filter elements to display images. SOLUTION: Each liquid vessel contains both a conductive liquid and an insulation liquid, either one of which is colored. This filter element has several liquid vessels and 1st electrodes in contact with the conductive liquids and 2nd electrodes all insulated from the conductive liquids. The colors of the liquids in each liquid vessel are different, and those liquid vessels passing the light in the predetermined axial directions are arranged in the axial direction.
