PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder and an image forming device having the sheet feeder capable of restraining the generation of an abnormal sound (a squeak) when feeding a sheet, without deteriorating sheet feeding performance. SOLUTION: This sheet feeder has a feed roller 102 rotatable for applying a feeding force to the sheet, a separating pad 104 for pressing the sheet to the feed roller 102, and a roller 109 rotatably arranged on the same axis as a support shaft 108 of the feed roller 102 for positioning the feed roller 102 to the separating pad 104.
