PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold box capable of being used not only as an auxiliary refrigerator but also as a portable refrigerator, which is provided with a large storage capacity by complete utilization of the interior of a container without using a foaming agent. SOLUTION: A large quantity of a frozen refrigeration agent is used to lower temperature in the box down to the temperature in a household cold storage chamber. The cold box is formed in a cylinder shape for that purpose, and a pocket for the refrigeration agent is made inside the cold box. For example, two pieces of the refrigeration agent are used for the bottom plate; six pieces of the refrigeration agent are used for the side faces; two pieces of the refrigeration agent are placed on contents; and two pieces of the refrigeration agent are used for the top lid.
