PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave power generation device capable of generating power by utilizing the weight of a ship when a ship of poor stability balance is afloat in a pool, the ship is allowed to roll, and the ship is inclined. SOLUTION: A ship 1 of poor stability balance is afloat in a pool 7, a hydraulic jack 9 is operated to generate waves by a flat plate 10 to roll the ship 1 of poor stability balance. When the ship is inclined, an arm 2 with a generator mounted thereon is dropped. When a gear 12 is rotated along a longitudinally toothed square bar to rotate a gear 13, and a generator 17 is driven by the gear 13 to generate the power. When the downwardly inclined arm 2 is raised, the rotation of a rubber-made wheel 18 to switch the gear 12 and a gear 15 is reversed. Then, the gear 12 is detached from the longitudinally toothed square bar 14, and the gear 15 is attached to the longitudinally toothed square bar 3 and rotated in the reverse direction. To correct it, a gear 14 is mounted. Whether the arm with the generator mounted thereon is lowered or elevated, the gear to drive the generator is rotated in the same direction to drive the generator 17 to generate the power.
