<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system capable of reducing a communication cost, speeding up a response, reducing volume of data, and achieving a natural intonation in voice outputting, and positioning a reading means even when planar codes such as a barcode and a two-dimensional code are used. <P>SOLUTION: The information providing system 1 comprises: a reading means 14 that reads a code; a decoding means 12a that decodes the code read by the reading means 14; an associating means 13b that associates a predetermined identifier with a word; a converting means 12b that refers to the associating means 13b and converts the predetermined identifier to the associated word when the predetermined identifier is included in the result of the decoding of the code by the decoding means 12a, and an outputting means 15 that outputs the word. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
