PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a rod- or cord-shaped member, in which temporary lock to the member and its transfer to a regular position at the time of assemblage can be easily performed. SOLUTION: This holder 1 for a rod- or cord-shaped member (cable 9) comprises a coupling part (clip 7) to a counter body (car body 18), a first holding part 10 to relatively tightly hold the rod- or cord-shaped member, and a second holding part 11 to hold the member with a certain space. Between the first holding part and the second holding part, a gap G for the member to be movable is provided. The member is temporarily locked by the first holding part to be carried, and after it is assembled with a subject item, the member is moved through the gap to the second holding part to be held at the regular position.
