<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulator capable of holding excellent heat insulating performance over a long time by using a metal complex having excellent performance as a core material and as an adsorbing material. <P>SOLUTION: The heat insulator 7 is provided with the core material 8, a moisture adsorbing material 9, and a cover material for covering the core material 8 and the moisture adsorbing material 9 and formed of a pair of two pieces and having gas barrier performance. The core material 8 comprises the metal complex having porous structure.
