<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club shaft which has a good stability in terms of carry and direction, can ensure the carry, can easily hit a ball, and is particularly suitable for iron clubs including putter. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club shaft is provided with a torsion rigidity retaining layer made of thermosetting resin provided with reinforced fibers obliquely crossed in the longitudinal direction of the shaft and a flexural rigidity retaining layer made of thermosetting resin provided with reinforced fiber aligned in parallel in the longitudinal direction. The torsion rigidity retaining layer is provided with a plain-woven fabric layer 11 which a prepreg made of plain-woven fabric impregnated with thermosetting resin rolled up and hardened in a shaft form in a way that warp and woof obliquely cross with each other in a longitudinal direction of the shaft and a 3-axial fabric layer 12 which a 3-axial fabric is rolled up and hardened in a shaft form in a way that the woof threads are placed in parallel or perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
