PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vane pump which can minimize a clearance between a side plate and each vane at the time of rotation of a rotor as much as possible and which can reduce the surface pressure as much as possible even when each vane comes in contact with the side plate. SOLUTION: The vane 10 received in each of a plurality of vane grooves radially formed in the rotor 30, includes an intermediate movable vane 11 and an extension vane 12. The intermediate movable vane 11 is urged outward in the radial direction of the rotor 30 when the rotor 30 rotates. The extension vane 12 is provided with a press portion 123 which is pressed against a cam inner peripheral surface 21 of a cam ring 20 by the urging of the intermediate movable vane 11 outward in the radial direction, and side portions 121, 122 which are integral with the press portion 123 and respectively arranged between the intermediate movable vane 11 and the side plate 40a and between the intermediate movable vane 11 and the side plate 40b. The side portions 121, 122 are respectively pressedly extended toward the side plates 40a, 40b by the urging of the intermediate movable vane 11 outward in the radial direction.
