PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column holding mechanism capable of analyzing a sample without replacing a flow tube over a long period of time, and a chromatograph apparatus using it. SOLUTION: The column holding mechanism is equipped with a revolution axis pipe 3a arranged in coaxial relation to a revolution axis P and supported in a freely rotatable manner, the column 5a arranged in the vicinity of the revolution axis pipe 3a and integrally revolved along with the revolution axis pipe 3a centering around the revolution axis P and the flow tube 7a only once passing a column 5a from the revolution axis pipe 3a to be again returned to the revolution axis pipe 3a. The column 5a is supported so as to be rotated on its own axis and rotated on its own axis in a direction of eliminating the twist formed in the flow tube 7a by the revolution of the column 5.
