PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distribution apparatus of a high speed treating sorter, for distributing articles with high distribution accuracy without damaging the articles, nor causing deformation or breakage of bags. SOLUTION: This distribution apparatus is provided with an article detection apparatus having an article distributing and carrying passage in the midway of continuous multiple carrying conveyers, and detecting articles reaching the carrying passage before the carrying passage; an opening/closing flipper with a hinge on one side in the carrying passage; and an air nozzle at an upper part of the flipper blowing compressed air downward. When an carried article is nondefective, the opening/closing flipper is set "closed", and the article is passed through the carrying passage and sent to a rear stage carrying conveyer. When the carried article is defective, the flipper is set "opened", and compressed air is blown from the air nozzle at a given timing to distribute the defective article to the lower part of the carrying passage.
