摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic search unit with which a sensitive diagnostic image is obtained by suppressing raising of the surface temperature of the unit. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic search unit is provided with: an ultrasonic element part 105, a casing 106, a heat radiation material 107, a filling material 108, and an adhesive member 103. The ultrasonic element part 105 consists of: a piezoelectric element 100 for transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves; an acoustic lens 102 which focuses the transmitted ultrasonic waves, applies them to a testee body and receives reflected ultrasonic waves; an acoustic matching layer 101 positioned between the piezoelectric element and the acoustic lens to propagate the ultrasonic waves and the reflected ultrasonic waves transmitted and received between them; and a back surface loading material 104 which is in contact with the piezoelectric element to fix it. The casing 106 houses the ultrasonic element part 105. The heat radiation material 107 is housed in the casing and contacts with a back surface loading material to radiate heat which is generated by driving of the piezoelectric element and which is transmitted through the back surface loading material. The filling material 108 holds the ultrasonic element part and the heat radiation material within the casing. The adhesive member 103 is in contact with the heat radiation material and connects the acoustic matching layer to the acoustic lens to radiate the heat generated between them into the casing through the heat radiation material 107.
