PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microorganism having ability of decomposing bisphenol-A, isolated from a food, having no harmful effect on human body and environment, and to provide a method for efficiently decomposing bisphemol-A by using the microorganism. SOLUTION: The microorganism has ability of decomposing bisphenol-A and is isolated from food, and the method for decomposing bisphenol-A and for treating aqueous solutions and soils possibly containing bisphenol-A by using the microorganism is provided.
