The juice extractor, for fruit and vegetables, has a feed channel (11) in the body (1) of the appliance with a plunger (2) to press down the fruit or vegetables to be chopped and ground. The fixed cutting blade (3) has a number of sharp projections (111) at the inner periphery of the feed channel, aligned towards the center. The plunger has a number of slits matching the projections and teeth (22) at the base.
