<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new uses using extracts of a plant belonging to the Genus Ageratum, whose effect other than that on hair growth, or the like, is not found conventionally. <P>SOLUTION: The extracts of the plant belonging to the Genus Ageratum inhibit elastase derived from dermal fibroblast. Several cutaneous aging symptoms such as wrinkles, skin roughening and skin somberness are found to be improved and prevented by compounding the extracts, with one or more of specific agents of humectants, cell activators, antiphlogistics, antioxidants, skin-whitening agents, hyaluronidase inhibitors, antiplasmin agents, active oxygen-suppressing agents, collagenase activity inhibitors, antihistamic agents and elastase activity inhibitors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
