<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize job accounting allowing flexibility of management. <P>SOLUTION: A client computer 101 judges whether a printer for use has a job accounting function or not. When a conventional printer 103 is used, print information, such as a paper size and the number of pages, necessary for job accounting is transmitted to a server computer 1001. In a server 100, accounting processing is performed by a job accounting server application 100.
