CONTROL METHOD OF FLYWHEEL TYPE UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY AND UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SUPPLY EMPLOYING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a flywheel type uninterruptible power supply in which electric loss of a generator motor is eliminated during idling, and to provide an uninterruptible power supply employing it.

SOLUTION: In the control method of a flywheel type uninterruptible power supply in which a flywheel 2 fixed to a generator motor 1 stores energy as rotational energy, the generator motor 1 is brought into unexcited state during idling, and switched to excited state during transition from idling to power generation thus eliminating electric loss of the generator motor 1 during idling.
