GENOME INFORMATION DISPLAY SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly genome information display system that allows quickly performing operation such as moving details displayed on a screen on which genes or the like forming genomes are displayed.

SOLUTION: A terminal 80 has a search screen display control means for displaying a variety of search screens on a display means. When a user selects one search result from search results obtained by use of the desired search screen, the terminal 80 sends to a server 10 a request to display a map screen about selected one search result. Thereafter, the server 10 sends to the terminal 80 the collection of map display data or the like needed to create the map screen. Based on the collection of map display data or the like, a map screen display control means of the terminal 80 creates an enlarged map for display in a predetermined area of the map screen such that an element corresponding to the selected search result is located at approximately the center of the enlarged map.
