PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting cable line excellent in energy consumption efficiency by reducing the heat entering the cable from outside. SOLUTION: The superconducting cable line comprises a fluid heat shielding pipe 2 in which liquid hydrogen 1 is transported, a superconducting cable 10 stored in the fluid heat shielding pipe 2, and a heat exchange means 30 for exchanging heat between the liquid hydrogen 1 and the coolant of the cable 10. The superconducting cable 10 comprises a cable core 12 in a cable heat shielding pipe 11, and is stored in the fluid heat shielding pipe 2, so that the outer periphery of the cable 10 is a low temperature environment, resulting in providing a double heat shielding structure of heat shielding pipes 11 and 12. Since the heat entering the superconducting cable 10 is reduced while the coolant is cooled by the liquid hydrogen 1, the energy for cooling the coolant is reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
