PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rotary machine in which reliability is enhanced at the rotor core section. SOLUTION: A stainless plate 51 is fixed to an electromagnetic steel plate 52 in pile. Upper part of a through hole for inserting a magnet is closed by the stainless plate 51. Consequently, the electromagnetic steel plate 52 and an end plate 40 are prevented from being bonded through adhesive 54 for securing a permanent magnet. Since thermal expansion and contraction D51 of the stainless plate is closer to thermal expansion and contraction D52 of the electromagnetic steel plate 52 than to thermal expansion and contraction D40 of the end plate, stress acting on the electromagnetic steel plate is decreased as compared with prior art. Consequently, fatigue breakdown of the electromagnetic steel plate due to difference of linear expansion coefficient between the end plate and the electromagnetic steel plate is prevented.
