PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To especially enable suppressing the injection amount of color materials of predetermined primary colors to exceed the necessary amount for sufficient expansion of a color gamut, and to enable satisfactory color reproduction without impairing reproduction of a color gamut, by utilizing the relation between the primary colors and their complementary colors in correcting an injecting amount to suppress the injecting amount of ink in forming a color decomposition table. SOLUTION: In color correction processing (S65), processing is performed for distributing the difference before and after injecting amount of the primary colors equivalent to correction amounts of primary colors acquired by correction of injection amount to complementary color components. In that case, the distribution is performed at a rate corresponding to the injecting amount of each of the complementary components. Also, the injecting amounts of the primary colors are returned to the injecting amounts before injecting amount correction. In this way, in order to prevent the color decomposition amount of the primary colors from being remarkably corrected, the correction amounts of the primary colors by injecting amount correction is distributed to the complementary components etc, thereby enabling preventing reduction of the usage amount of the primary colors due to injecting amount correction. Thus, expansion of the color gamut by using the primary colors while maintaining color reproducibility can be sufficiently realized while suppressing an ink injecting amount to a predetermined value or low.
