PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an e-mail sending device and a program for a personal computer, a printer, or an MFP or the like for sending e-mail while selecting one mail server from a plurality of mail servers in accordance with their priorities that correspond to various conditions. SOLUTION: On receiving a request from a user, an MFP 110 scans the surface of a sheet of paper set by the user, creates image data, creates data about the transmission of e-mail with the image data attached, and reads a pattern about the priorities of the mail servers from a storage part in accordance with the level of emergency designated by the user and the size of the data about the transmission. The MFP 110 tries to access the mail servers 200a-200c in accordance with the pattern read. The data for the transmission is sent to the mail server that has been successfully accessed.
