PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor with which electrostatic chargeability and sensitivity are stabilized, a fluctuation in electrostatic charge potential and residual potential is reduced, the generation of image defects, such as a black spot and moire, is prevented, and an electrophotographic image having high image density is made, and also to provide an image forming apparatus using the organic photoreceptor, an image forming method, and a process cartridge. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor has an intermediate layer and a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, wherein the intermediate layer contains a binder resin and brucite type titanium oxide.
