PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easily-portable and inexpensive three-dimensional shape measuring device. SOLUTION: This three-dimensional shape measuring device is controlled by a PC body 1 executing an application software 4 for displaying a pattern projected onto a specimen 7 as a GUI image 11 on a PC monitor 2. A projector device 5 is a projector on the market for projecting a display on the PC monitor 2, and projects the pattern displayed on the PC monitor 2 by the application software 4 as it is onto the specimen 7, when operated as the three-dimensional shape measuring device. The application software 4 is required to have only an ability for displaying the pattern on a PC monitor screen 2, and a projector on the market for projecting the display on the PC monitor screen is sufficiently useful as the projector device 5. The pattern projected onto the specimen 7 is imaged by an imaging device 6 and processed by the PC body 1, to thereby measure the three-dimensional shape. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
