<p>The brake, e.g. for the mechanism to open an automobile trunk lid by an electromotor, has a brake torque transmission shaft (2) with a coaxial magnet (1) around it with an end pole side (4). The assembly has an exciting coil (5) and an armature disk (8) keyed to the shaft with axial movement to cover the pole side with a friction lock to be held radially by a magnetic force and axially by spring pressure. The shaft has an axial sliding movement at the magnet and the armature disk is fixed axially to it. The magnet section has a second pole side (6) and a further exciting coil (7). A second armature disk (9) is axially fixed to the shaft, to cover the second pole side of the magnet section. The sliding movement of the shaft is equal to the brake lifting path of the first armature disk and the lifting position is defined by a torque-free limit of the second armature disk. The working spring force is equal to the magnetic force on energizing the first coil and opposed to the magnetic force on energizing the second coil.</p> |
