摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a precise current location and direction autonomously in a single mobile body without needing an external system and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 140 converts each detection value of optical sensors 100a and 100b into movement displacement magnitude in a back and forth direction of a wheelchair 1 according to a prescribed conversion coefficient and, on the basis of them, calculates a position displacement magnitude and a direction displacement magnitude with respect to a traveling surface of the wheelchair 1. The control unit 140 calculates a position and direction at present of the wheelchair 1 by adding the calculated position displacement magnitude and direction displacement magnitude to a pre-defined reference position and reference direction. Moreover, the control unit 140 prescribes and corrects an absolute position of the wheelchair 1 at present on the basis of installed position data inputted from a radio tag reader 120 and corrects the specified conversion coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
