<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase particulate capture rate of DPF without causing rise of engine back pressure and make it easy to ignite and burn particulate captured by the DPF. <P>SOLUTION: An anchor layer 7 is formed on a wall surface of a passage 6 of the DPF in which exhaust gas passes, broken shell 8 formed by breaking inorganic oxide of which inside is empty is fixed on the anchor layer 7, and at least an end part of the broken shell 8 projects from the anchor layer 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
