<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized use of an IC card deposit increasing machine by theft of a key or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The machine is provided with a deposit door control part 12 for controlling unlock/lock of an electric lock provided to the entire door of a deposit part 7 or the door of a banknote housing 10 of the deposit part 7 and a front door control part 15 for controlling unlock/lock of the electric lock provided to the front door. Only when the IC card detected by a reader/writer part 18 is an authentic maintenance card, the unlock of the front door by the front door control part 15 is accepted. By organizing the maintenance card necessary for banknote collection and a maintenance job with the IC card, forgery of the maintenance card is difficult. When there is no maintenance card, the banknote collection and the maintenance job cannot be performed, so the theft of money and internal equipment is prevented.
