<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flexibly edit conversion candidates in a predicted conversion function, and to effectively proceeds conversion works of Japanese syllabary to kanji characters. <P>SOLUTION: In a Japanese syllabary to kanji character prediction conversion apparatus having the prediction conversion function for detecting and displaying conversion candidates to a string of input Japanese syllabary characters from a learning data storage storing strings of conversion candidate characters confirmed by past conversion processes, the Japanese syllabary to kanji character prediction conversion apparatus is provided with at least one of a deleting function of deleting the string of conversion candidate characters stored in the learning data storage, an adding function of adding the string of conversion candidate characters displayed in a conversion process to the learning data storage, a modifying function of modifying the string of conversion candidate characters stored in the learning data storage, a priority setting function of setting display priority of characters displayed as conversion candidates, and a display order setting section of setting display orders for respective strings of conversion candidate characters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
