<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a portable electronic device when control keys for controlling a display mode of displayed information are operated in a specific direction. <P>SOLUTION: In a folding mobile phone 10, a display section 1 for displaying character information or screen information and an operation section 2 for arranging a plurality of information input keys 2A are integrally provided, an analog keys 4 for controlling the display mode of information displayed on the display section 1 is provided on the operation section 1, and a circular analog key movement zone section 5 for restricting a movement zone of the analog key 4 is therein set up. The analog key movement zone section 5 provides an outer peripheral shape having a plurality of projections 5A to 5D equally spaced at every 90°on a circular outer periphery, and is installed so as to overlap with the analog key movement zone 5. A cover 7 with a open hole 6, in which the same number of recessed sections 6A to 6D with a shape corresponding to the plurality of projections 5A to 5D so as to become an inner peripheral shape equal to the outer peripheral shape, is also provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
