<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce complication on design while exact alignment of a robot unit and a holder is made possible in an apparatus for making a data medium housed in a cassette store data. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has a magazine equipped with the holder for the cassette 28, and a robot unit 44 for replacing the cassette 28 between the holder and a drive mechanism 16. The magazine can be moved relative to the robot unit 44 and the holder thus selected occasionally for the purpose of replacing the cassette 28 is positioned. For the purpose of the positioning, the robot unit 44 is provided with a sensor unit, and each holder is provided with a light guide element. When the sensor unit overlaps on the holder while the robot unit 44 exists in the position for positioning, the light emitted from an optical transmitter of the sensor unit is guided to the light receiving unit of the sensor unit through the light guide element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
