PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception area monitor system, capable of quickly coping with occurrence of a fault by efficiently collecting reception quality data with high reliability from many broadcast service areas. SOLUTION: A storage section of each of broadcast receivers RS1 to RSn stores BER data of a digital broadcast wave broadcast from a relay broadcast apparatus BS. Then each of the broadcast receivers RS1 to RSn transmits measured BER data to a broadcast operation managing apparatus BC via a network NW with respect to an acquisition request of the measured BER data from the broadcast operation managing apparatus BC; whereas, the broadcast operation managing apparatus BC calculates the fault occurrence rate by each broadcast service area, and further a time zone dependent fault occurrence rate during a broadcast time of the digital broadcast wave, on the basis of the measured BER data collected from the broadcast receivers RS1 to RSn.
