PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of adjusting a settlement quantity, by changing a supply condition of negative pressure, when the ground is different in a settlement speed by the condition. SOLUTION: This ground improving device is composed of a vertical drain material vertically arranged on the improving object ground, a horizontal drain material connected to an upper part of the vertical drain material, an airtight sheet laid on the improving object ground, and a vacuum pump for supplying the negative pressure to the lower side of the airtight sheet. A supply point for supplying the negative pressure to its lower side is exposed to the airtight sheet. A negative pressure main pipe for connecting this negative pressure supply point and the vacuum pump, is arranged on an upper surface of the airtight sheet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
