PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing extra fine nickel powder by a wet-reducing process. SOLUTION: This producing method for nickel powder contains the following processes, in which a process 10 for preparing a first solution formed by mixing water and a base; a process 11 for preparing a second solution formed by mixing a polyol and a nickel compound; a process 12 for forming a mixture by mixing the first solution and the second solution; a process 16 for heating the mixture; and a process 17 for separating the nickel powder generated in the heating process, are performed.
