PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new spirofluorene compound that provides blue luminescence, has excellent luminescence property and durability and is favorably useful as an organic material constituting a luminescent layer in an organic electroluminescent element and a spirofluorene polymer and to provide a method for producing the spirofluorene compound, a method for producing the spirofluorene polymer and an organic electroluminescent element having excellent luminescence property and durability and giving blue luminescence. SOLUTION: The spirofluorene compound is represented by a specific formula. The spirofluorene polymer comprises a specific repeating unit.
