A RESET APPARATUS FOR COMMUNICATIONS DEVICES AND THE METHOD THEREOF

A reset apparatus for communications devices which include one or more single boards, includes: reset control module for receiving the reset signal from single boards, outputting soft reset indication to soft reset module, thereafter outputting hard reset indication to hard reset module; soft reset module for receiving the soft reset indication from reset control module, sending instruction for stopping operation and freeing resources to parts; hard reset module for receiving the hard reset indication from reset control module, outputting reset signal to parts. A method thereof is also disclosed. The present invention ensures the reliability and security in the communications devices resetting.
