<p>A rent repository and methods for collecting and reporting rental history greatly improves the screening process of prospective clients. Applications of the present invention are particularly useful with residential rental property and commercial rental property, as well as with other industries that consolidate management of consumer accounts using account-tracking software and financial software or use an evaluation method for screening prospective or current clients. A rent repository configured according to a particular embodiment of the present invention includes a rent repository, a contributor of rental information, an account-tracking software interfaced with the rent repository, and a requestor who orders reports produced by the rent repository. Particular embodiments of methods for collecting and reporting rental history include incentive and compensation for contributors to contribute to the rent repository, for account-tracking software and financial software providers for contribution through their software, and for resellers of reports generated by the rent repository.</p> |
