PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of lubricant in an image fixing apparatus where lubricant is used in order to reduce slide load between an endless fixing belt and a pressure imparting member. SOLUTION: A gap between the inner surface of each end part out of which the lubricant seeps of the endless fixing belt and a rotation guide member for the endless fixing belt is filled with magnetic fluid, and also, the magnetic fluid is held by a magnet installed in the rotation guiding member for the endless belt, and the lubricant flowing toward the belt end side is dammed so as to prevent the lubricant from leaking outside the belt.
