PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side gusset bag which has diagonal seals of an improved shape for the side gusset bag to eliminate the formation of a pinhole. SOLUTION: The side gusset bag 1 comprises side folding parts 4, a bottom sealed part 6, and diagonal sealed parts 7. The inner edge lines 12 of the diagonal sealed parts 7 have no heat welding intersections with the folding lines 10 of the side folding parts 4, and the intersections between the extension lines 12' of the inner edge lines 12 of the diagonal sealed parts 7 and the folding lines 10 of the side folding parts 4 are located higher than the intersections between the folding lines 10 of the side folding parts 4 and the inner edge line of the bottom sealed part 6. Preferably, the inner edge lines 12 of the diagonal sealed parts 7 do not terminate as straight lines but bend before crossing the folding lines 10 of side folding parts 4, and are subjected to sealing in parallel with the folding lines 10 to have heat welding intersections with the inner edge lines of the bottom sealed part 6.
