<p>A fluid type torque transmission device, comprising a torque converter (1) for transmitting a torque from an engine to an output shaft extending to a transmission side through a fluid. The axial dimensions of the torque converter (1) around the inner peripheral parts are shortened by improving the structure thereof around a thrust washer. The torque converter (1) comprises a front cover (2), an impeller (3), and a turbine (4). The turbine (4) comprises a turbine shell (11) disposed oppositely to the impeller (3) and having a plurality of vanes and a turbine hub (13) disposed on the inner peripheral side of the turbine shell (11) and connecting the output shaft to the turbine shell (11). Also, the torque converter (1) comprises an annular slidably moving member (80) axially disposed between the front cover (2) and the turbine hub (13) and receiving an axial load and a support member (70) fixed to either of the front cover (2) and the turbine hub (13) and axially energizing and supporting the slidably moving member (80) on either of the front cover (2) and the turbine hub (13).</p> |
